Life is a lot like a blank canvas—or, perhaps, a mandala in progress. Every choice we make, every thought we nurture, every belief we hold, adds a stroke, a pattern, or a color. Sometimes the lines are uneven. Sometimes the colors clash. And yet, when you step back, you begin to see something much greater: the emerging masterpiece of your existence.
But what if I told you that you are not just the canvas? You are also the artist—the one holding the brush, shaping the patterns, and breathing life into the picture of your reality.
The Patterns of Our Lives
Think about the patterns in your life. Not just the routines or habits, but the deep, often hidden beliefs that shape your actions, thoughts, and emotions. These patterns can feel so ingrained, so permanent, that they seem unchangeable.
Maybe it’s the feeling of not being “enough.” Maybe it’s the fear of failure, or the belief that success, love, or abundance is for “someone else.” These patterns can feel like they’re etched in stone, part of the unchanging fabric of who we are.
But patterns, like the lines in a mandala, are not permanent. They are just choices repeated over time. And the beauty of choice is that it can always be remade.
The Power of Imagination
Imagine, for a moment, that your life was exactly the way you wanted it to be. Close your eyes and feel it. The joy, the abundance, the love, the peace. What would it feel like to wake up every morning knowing that you’re living your dream? That the patterns of doubt and fear have been replaced with confidence and hope?
In this moment of imagination, you’re doing something profound. You’re stepping into the role of the artist. You’re creating a vision, a blueprint for the life you want to live. And here’s the secret: that vision isn’t just a fantasy. It’s a reflection of your true self—the self that exists beyond fear, doubt, and limitation.
Non-Duality and the Law of Assumption
The philosophy of non-duality teaches us that we are not separate from the world around us. We are consciousness itself—the infinite, unchanging awareness in which all experiences arise. And because we are consciousness, we are also creators.
The Law of Assumption builds on this truth, reminding us that our outer reality reflects our inner state. What you assume to be true—about yourself, about the world—shapes the patterns of your life. When you assume abundance, abundance appears. When you assume love, love flows freely.
Embracing Your Perfection
It’s easy to get caught up in the idea that you need to “fix” yourself before you can create a beautiful life. That you need to become more disciplined, more skilled, more deserving. But the truth is, you are already perfect.
Yes, you have imperfections. We all do. But those imperfections are part of your masterpiece. They add depth, texture, and uniqueness to your life. In the eye of consciousness, you are already whole. Already enough. Already the perfect expression of infinite potential.
Drawing Your Mandala
When I sit down to draw a mandala, I don’t know exactly how it will turn out. There are mistakes, uneven lines, and moments where I think, “This isn’t going to work.” But as I keep going, those mistakes become part of the design. They blend into the whole, adding character and meaning.
Your life is the same. You don’t need to have everything figured out. You just need to pick up the pen and start drawing. And if you don’t like the pattern you’ve been creating? Erase it. Redraw it. Reimagine it.
Finding Peace Within
At the center of every mandala is a point of stillness—a calm, grounded space from which all patterns radiate. You have that same stillness within you. It’s the core of who you are, the unchanging awareness that watches your life unfold.
When you connect with this stillness, you see the world differently. You realize that the chaos of life is just the surface. Beneath it, there is peace. And from that place of peace, you can create with clarity and intention.
An Invitation
So, I invite you to pause. To look within. To find that peaceful, calm place at your center. From there, imagine the life you want to create. Imagine yourself as both the art and the artist—the masterpiece and the creator.
Remember, the pen is in your hand. The patterns are yours to shape. And no matter where you are or what you’ve been through, you are already whole. Already enough. Already perfect.
Take a deep breath, and begin drawing your mandala.
