A Journey into Oneness with the Divine Mind Through Space

Exploring the Space element guides us on a journey to connect with the unfathomable oneness of the Divine Mind, cultivating a deeper sense of peace, connection, and trust in the limitless potential of our true nature. This meditation will guide to connect with your own inner divinity via the Space element.

Preparation (5 minutes):

  1. Find Your Seat: Begin by finding a comfortable seated position. You can sit on a chair with your feet flat on the floor or in a traditional meditation posture.

  2. Close Your Eyes: Gently close your eyes, or soften your gaze if you prefer.

  3. Deep Breaths: Take a few slow, deep breaths. Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth, feeling your body relax more with each breath.

Connecting with the Space Element (5 minutes):

  1. Visualize Vastness: Imagine yourself surrounded by a vast, open space. This space is clear, boundless, and filled with a soft, serene light.

  2. Inner Expansiveness: Feel this expansiveness within you. Imagine it filling your chest, your abdomen, and extending outwards in all directions.

  3. Mindful Presence: Notice any thoughts or feelings that arise. Acknowledge them without judgment and gently bring your attention back to the feeling of spaciousness.

Exploring Oneness with the Divine Mind (10 minutes):

  1. Deepen the Spaciousness: Before focusing on the Divine Mind, spend a moment intensifying the feeling of spaciousness within you. Imagine a gentle, cool breeze blowing through this vast inner space, carrying away any lingering thoughts or worries. Feel the emptiness expand even further, becoming lighter and more serene with each breath.

  2. The Point of Light: Now, within the center of this vast space, visualize a tiny point of light. It's not a harsh, blinding light, but a soft, warm glow that radiates pure awareness. This is the spark of the Divine Mind, the essence of existence, residing within you.

  3. Connecting the Wave and the Ocean: As you focus on this point of light, imagine it begins to expand, slowly filling the entire space you cultivated earlier. It's like a single drop of ink gently diffusing in a vast pool of water. The vastness of the space and the brilliance of the light become one.

  4. Feel the Oneness: Now, shift your perspective. See yourself no longer as separate from this light, but as a wave arising from its very essence. You are not a single entity challenging the vastness, but a unique expression of the Divine Mind itself. Feel the energy of the light coursing through you, filling you with its infinite love, wisdom, and potential.

  5. Unique Expression: While you are one with the Divine Mind, you are also a unique wave in the vast ocean. Notice the subtle ways your "wave" differs from others. Perhaps it has a unique color, shape, or movement. This represents your individuality, your special gifts and talents that contribute to the richness of the whole.

  6. Dissolving Boundaries: Finally, as you hold this image of oneness, allow the boundaries between your wave-self and the ocean of the Divine Mind to dissolve completely. Imagine the light permeating every cell of your being, every thought, and every emotion. You are not a wave separate from the ocean, but the very essence of the ocean itself, experiencing its vastness in a unique and beautiful way.

Letting Go and Receiving (5 minutes):

  1. Release Limiting Thoughts: In this state of oneness, gently release any limiting thoughts or beliefs that might be holding you back. Imagine them dissolving into the vast space of the Divine Mind.

  2. Open to Receive: Open yourself to receive the love, wisdom, and guidance of the Divine Mind. Feel it filling your spaciousness with light and possibility.

  3. Set an Intention: You can silently ask a question or set an intention for your life. Trust that the Divine Mind hears you and will guide you in the perfect way.

Bringing Awareness Back (5 minutes):

  1. Return to Body: Slowly begin to bring your awareness back to your physical body. Wiggle your fingers and toes, and take a few deep breaths.

  2. Open Your Eyes: When you feel ready, gently open your eyes. Carry the feeling of spaciousness and oneness with you throughout your day.

Additional Tips:

  • Guided Visualization: Incorporate calming guided visualizations to enhance the experience. Imagine yourself floating through the vast space, feeling the cool breeze, and witnessing the transformation of the light.

  • Kinesthetic Techniques: To deepen the feeling of spaciousness, you can slowly expand your arms outwards as you breathe in, and bring them back together as you exhale. This physical movement can reinforce the sense of expanding space within you.

  • Mantras: Silently recite a mantra that resonates with oneness, such as "I am one with the Divine Mind," or "So Hum" (meaning "I am That").

  • Music and Nature Sounds: Play calming music or nature sounds in the background to create a more immersive experience.

This meditation teaches us that within each of us lies a boundless space filled with infinite potential. By connecting with this inner space and the Divine Mind, we can cultivate a deeper sense of peace, connection, and trust in our limitless potential. Embracing the understanding that we are unique expressions of the Divine Mind helps us navigate life with greater clarity and serenity.

As the Vedas remind us, "That which is the finest essence—this whole world has that as its Self. That is the Reality. That is the Self. And you are that."
